A flowing sequence of movements, in which the asanas (poses) and prana (energy/breath) are inter-connected. Some poses are held for several breath cycles to refine the posture of the body, mind and heart. Poses are taught, along with variations and a few twists, to help keep the mind attentive and the body and mind interested.
This session is a relaxing, meditative class which uses props to allow a gentle opening in the body. Most poses are experienced while laying or sitting on the floor. The postures are held for a specific time, and students are directed when to switch sides and when to come out of the pose.
This is a hatha based class. It is taught at a slower pace and focuses on proper posture and alignment within a pose. This is a great class for someone new to yoga or even a more advanced student looking to reconnect their body to the poses (asanas).
This session consists of slight modifications of the standard poses of hatha yoga. In many poses, the only modification made is that the practitioner is not forced to go as deeply into the pose as required by the standard yoga session. The goal of this practice is to make sure that the practitioner does not experience any discomfort while performing the pose.
A dynamic and flowing style of hatha yoga which links breath and movement through a creative series of postures that balance strength and flexibility while cultivating mindfulness through a continuous flow. Vinyasa is cleansing, heat building and suitable for the physically active.
This sessions focus is on learning the basic functional movements needed to provide support as you move forward in your journey. You will learn techniques that enable you to focus on your mind, body, and spirit by focusing on the meditation, poses, and breathing. This is a beginner level class.
